UNION TOWNSHIP, N.J.
- An officer with the Union County Police Department shot and killed himself in
a park. A person walking in Kawameeh Park discovered the body on a bench
Wednesday, not far from Kawameeh Middle School. County spokesman Sebastian
D'Elia tells the Courier News of Bridgewater ( http://mycj.co/XEQlkj) the
25-year veteran of the force was a Union Township resident. D'Elia would not
release the officer's name.
