An Eagles fan is alleging that she was arrested for no reason after police allegedly smashed her face and broke her elbow during their concert at Minneapolis’ Target Center last September.
According to TMZ, Jamie Voelk maintains that she was doing nothing wrong when a security guard bumped into her. According to Voelk’s lawsuit, Officer Molly Fischer then pounced on her, escorted her outside and proceeded to slam her face into a metal storefront curtain and fractured her elbow.
Voelk was then placed under arrest, and was subsequently booked for “obstruction of the legal process” but that the charge, according to her legal paperwork, is slated for dismissal. The complainant is suing Fischer, the city of Minneapolis, its police department and concert promoter AEG for excessive force, false arrest, battery, and infliction of emotional distress. She is seeking $50,000 in damages.
